What is Black Soap...
Black Soap originates from West Africa. It is generally made from locally harvested African plants such as plantain, cocoa pods, palm tree leaves and shea tree bark. The ingredients are sun-dried and roasted, giving it, its deep colour, hence the name Black Soap. Botanical oils and natural extracts are added to give fragrance and a fresh smell.
What is Shea Butter...
Shea Butter comes from the kernels of shea trees, which are native to sub-Saharan Africa. The natural fatty acids derived from the shea nuts are of the shea tree.
High in vitamin E and A, shea butter acts as the perfect natural moisturiser. By extracting, crushing and boiling the shea tree's ripe nut or fruit, it produces a yellowish buttery, thick substance which becomes solid at room temperature.
Shea Butter is great for eczema and other dry skin conditions, anti-aging and wrinkling, stretch marks and hair care.
What is Cocoa...
Cocoa beans are picked, fermented, then dried and roasted. It is then pressed, to make Theobroma oil.
The oils found contain a high amount of fatty acids, which make it suitable as a primary ingredient in skin hydration and hair protection. In its form as a butter the finished product is a great barrier and protective that holds in moisture and prevents your skin and hair from drying. Enriched with vitamin E and K these properties are responsible for reducing lines, wrinkles and evening skin tone.
